The fitness level required is Beginner.

This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

Embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to Bondowoso, with an optional stop at a local restaurant in Probolinggo for lunch (at your own expense). Upon arrival at your hotel in Bondowoso, enjoy a welcome dinner and relax for the night in preparation for the exciting journey ahead.

Ijen Blue Crater & Papuma Beach Sunset

At midnight, start your adventure with a 1.5-hour drive to Paltuding, the trailhead for Ijen Crater. Begin the trek (approximately 1-1.5 hours) to the crater rim, where you’ll be greeted with the stunning turquoise sulfuric lake and the sight of sulfur miners working in challenging conditions. Witness the sunrise over this breathtaking landscape before returning to Bondowoso for coffee, snacks, a shower, and lunch.

Papuma Beach Sunset

After lunch, continue the journey to Jember City (about 2 hours). From there, travel to Papuma Beach (1-hour drive) to enjoy a mesmerizing sunset over the sea. Return to your hotel in Jember for an overnight stay.

The trek involves crossing rivers and navigating rocky paths, so proper trekking footwear is essential. Enjoy the natural water spa and take in the stunning scenery.

Journey to Bromo

After exploring the waterfall, relax and have lunch before heading to Cemoro Lawang, near Mount Bromo (approx. 4-hour drive). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Start the day at 2:00 AM for stargazing and Milky Way viewing at Mount Bromo. Witness a magical sunrise over the iconic Bromo landscape, including Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and the towering Mount Semeru in the background. The dramatic scenery will leave you in awe.

Bromo Crater and Sand Sea

Ride a 4WD across the Sand Sea (Laotan Pasir) to Poten, a Tenggerese Hindu temple. From there, choose to either hike 3 km or take a pony ride to Mount Bromo’s crater rim. Ascend 253 steps to enjoy panoramic views of the steaming crater. After the adventure, return to your hotel for breakfast, check out, and drive back to Surabaya (approx. 5 hours).
