BBKSDA Jawa Timur circular SE.35/K2/BIDTEK.1/KSA/1/2024 (2024-01-06), as reported by TIMES Indonesia, makes a doctor's health certificate mandatory for every guest entering the Kawah Ijen crater. Dr. Ahmad Irwandanu (registration STR QN00001073380217) screens you at your hotel the evening before, on every private JVTO Ijen tour. It is a pre-hike assessment, not a guarantee.
