The fitness level required is Beginner.

This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

Arrival in Surabaya – Transfer to Bondowoso

Your adventure begins with a pickup at Surabaya Airport (recommended arrival before 12:00 PM). Embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to Bondowoso, including a stop at a local restaurant in Probolinggo for lunch (at your own expense). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night in preparation for the Ijen adventure ahead.

Ijen Blue Crater – Jember – Papuma Beach Sunset

Begin your day at midnight with a 1.5-hour drive to Paltuding, the starting point of the Ijen trek. From there, embark on a 1-1.5 hour hike to the crater rim to marvel at the gigantic turquoise sulfuric lake. Witness local sulfur miners enduring the extreme environment as they haul loads from the crater.

Coffee & Transfer to Jember

After soaking in the spectacular views, stop at Malabar Coffee for a cup of freshly brewed Arabica coffee and snacks. Return to your hotel in Bondowoso to shower and check out before driving to your hotel in Jember. Check in and relax before the next adventure.

Papuma Beach Sunset

At 3:00 PM, set off for Papuma Beach, a 1-hour drive from Jember. Enjoy the mesmerizing sunset over the sea, surrounded by dramatic rock formations and tranquil waves. Afterward, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall – Transfer to Cemoro Lawang (Bromo)

Start early at 4:00 AM with a drive to Tumpak Sewu, one of Java's most breathtaking waterfalls. Its unique semi-circular formation of cascading waters creates a stunning natural amphitheater. Trek down through the canyon and follow the river to reach the waterfall base. Proper trekking shoes or sandals are recommended for this adventure. Enjoy the refreshing spray and serene beauty before heading back.

Lunch & Journey to Bromo

After the trek, enjoy lunch before continuing your journey to the Bromo area, approximately a 4-hour drive. Check in to your hotel in Cemoro Lawang and rest for the night in preparation for a stargazing and sunrise adventure at Mount Bromo.

Bromo Stargazing & Sunrise – Transfer to Surabaya

Bromo Stargazing and Sunrise

Your final day begins at 2:00 AM with stargazing and a spectacular view of the Milky Way above Mount Bromo. Witness the iconic sunrise illuminating the caldera, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru, Java's highest peak. Ride a 4WD vehicle across the Sand Sea to Poten, a Tenggerese Hindu temple. From there, either hike or ride a pony to ascend 253 steps to the crater rim, where you'll be rewarded with unforgettable views of the steaming crater.

Transfer to Surabaya

After breakfast and a refreshing break, check out of your hotel. Drive back to Surabaya, approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, you can explore the city or proceed directly to your flight or train station (recommended departure after 6:00 PM). End of program.
