This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

Journey to the Highlands - From Surabaya to Cemoro Lawang

Arrival in Surabaya and Transfer to Bromo Area

Your adventure begins with a pickup in Surabaya at your hotel, train station, or international airport (ideally before 03:00 PM). Travel to Cemoro Lawang, a serene village near Mount Bromo (approx. 3–4 hours). En route, stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Probolinggo (at your own expense). Afterward, proceed to your hotel for check-in and rest. The evening is free for you to relax and prepare for the early morning adventure.

Begin your day at 2:00 AM, departing for Mount Bromo Stargazing. Witness the stunning Milky Way in a sky untouched by light pollution. As dawn approaches, enjoy breathtaking sunrise views over the Bromo landscape. Marvel at the iconic peaks of Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and the towering Gunung Semeru, Java’s highest volcano. From there, take a thrilling 4WD or motorcycle ride across the Sand Sea to Poten, a Tenggerese Hindu temple. Choose to hike 3 km or take a pony ride to the base of Mount Bromo. Climb a steep 253-step staircase for a close-up view of the volcanic crater rim.

Breakfast and Madakaripura Waterfall Adventure

After exploring Mount Bromo, return to your hotel in Cemoro Lawang to rest, enjoy breakfast, and check out by 12:00 PM. Continue the journey with a 1-hour drive to Madakaripura Waterfall, a mesmerizing natural wonder surrounded by lush greenery. Trek for about 30 minutes, accompanied by a local guide, to reach the waterfall. Wear waterproof slippers and prepare to be awed by the towering cascades. Afterward, begin your 4-hour journey back to Surabaya, concluding the program. Drop-off will be at your hotel, train station, or airport in Surabaya (recommended flights after 7:00 PM).
