This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Your day starts early at midnight with a drive to Paltuding, the base of Ijen Crater. After about 1.5 hours on the road, you’ll begin your 1-1.5 hour trek to the crater rim. Upon reaching the rim, you’ll be greeted by the breathtaking sight of the 200-meter deep turquoise sulfuric lake, set against a dramatic volcanic landscape. Witness the extraordinary work of sulfur miners who carry heavy loads through hazardous terrain and toxic fumes.

Coffee Break at Malabar Coffee Plantation

After enjoying the sunrise at Ijen Crater, we stop at the Malabar Coffee Plantation for a refreshing coffee break and snacks. Then, we return to your hotel in Bondowoso for a shower and check-out before heading to the next destination.

Papuma Beach Sunset

In the afternoon, we journey to Jember City, where you’ll check in at Doho Homestay. After a brief rest, we set off for Papuma Beach, a one-hour drive away. Be mesmerized by the stunning sunset views over the sea, offering the perfect end to a day filled with natural wonders.

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and Journey to Bromo

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall: The Thousand Waterfalls

Our journey begins early at 4:00 AM as we check out and head to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Java. Known for its unique half-circle formation, the waterfall consists of multiple mini-waterfalls cascading from a height of around 300 meters. A short, adventurous trek takes you across rocks and streams to reach the waterfall, so be sure to bring appropriate trekking sandals or shoes.

Lunch and Journey to Bromo

After exploring the falls and perhaps even enjoying a natural water spa, we will have lunch before continuing our journey to the Bromo area. The drive will take approximately 4 hours, bringing you closer to the iconic Bromo Volcano.

Prepare for an early morning adventure starting at 2:00 AM as we set out for stargazing and a Milky Way view at Mount Bromo. As the first rays of dawn break, witness the spectacular sunrise over the Bromo landscape. The majestic views of Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and Mount Semeru will take your breath away, as they rise from the flat volcanic sand bed of the caldera.

Exploring the Heart of Bromo

After sunrise, we will continue our journey on a thrilling 4WD ride over the vast Sand Sea to the Poten Temple. From here, you can either take a 3km hike or a pony ride to the base of Mount Bromo, where you will ascend 253 steps to reach the crater rim and witness the raw power of the volcano up close.

Return to Surabaya

After a morning filled with adventure, we continue our journey to Surabaya for an overnight stay.
