The fitness level required is Beginner.

This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

The adventure begins with a pickup at Surabaya Airport (preferably before 12 PM). From there, embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to Bondowoso. Along the way, make a stop at a local restaurant in Probolinggo to enjoy a delicious lunch (at your own expense). Once you arrive in Bondowoso, check into your hotel, where you’ll be greeted with a welcome dinner. Afterward, take some time to rest and prepare for the next day's adventures.

The Blue Fire of Ijen – From Sunrise at Ijen Crater to Papuma Beach Sunset

At midnight (00:00 AM), depart for Ijen Crater. After a 1.5-hour drive to Paltuding (Ijen parking area), we’ll begin the trek (about 1-1.5 hours) to the crater rim. Marvel at the stunning turquoise sulfuric lake and witness the world’s toughest workers hauling sulfur sacks. After soaking in the sunrise and crater views, stop at Malabar Coffee for a refreshing coffee break.

Journey to Jember & Papuma Beach Sunset

Return to Bondowoso for a quick shower, check-out, and lunch. Then, continue your journey to Jember City, where you’ll check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Papuma Beach (1-hour drive) to enjoy stunning sunset views over the sea. Afterward, head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

The day starts early at 04:00 AM with check-out and a direct drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. This iconic waterfall, known as the "Thousand Waterfalls," is one of Java’s most beautiful and unique formations. The waterfalls cascade in a half-circle, and to reach the base, you’ll need to trek through a river and rocky terrain (proper trekking sandals or shoes are recommended). Enjoy the stunning natural beauty and even take a water spa experience.

Journey to Bromo

After enjoying the waterfall, we’ll stop for lunch before continuing the journey to the Bromo area (approx. 4-hour drive). Arrive at your hotel in Bromo to rest for the night.

Rise early at 02:00 AM for a Mount Bromo stargazing adventure. Witness the stunning Milky Way and the spectacular sunrise over the volcanic landscape. Enjoy views of Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and the majestic Semeru Volcano, the highest in Java.

Bromo Crater Exploration

After the sunrise, take a thrilling 4WD or motorcycle ride across the Laotan Pasir (Sand Sea) to reach the Poten Temple. From here, choose to either hike 3 km or take a pony ride to the base of Mount Bromo, where you can ascend 253 steps for a closer look at the crater rim.

Journey to Malang

After exploring the crater, head to Malang City (approx. 3-hour drive) for check-in at your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and relax for the night.

Return to Surabaya

After your Batu City sightseeing tour, travel back to Surabaya (approximately 2 hours), where you will check into your hotel and relax for the evening.
