This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

Surabaya to Bondowoso - Arrival and Relaxation

Arrival at Surabaya and Transfer to Bondowoso

Your journey begins with a pick-up at Surabaya Airport (preferably before 12:00 PM). From there, you'll be transferred to Bondowoso, a scenic 5-hour drive with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense). Upon arrival in Bondowoso, check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax for the evening.

DAY 2

Ijen Blue Crater - Journey to Jember

Breakfast

Ijen Crater Adventure

Start your day at midnight with a drive to Paltuding (Ijen parking area), which takes around 1.5 hours. From there, trek to the Ijen Crater rim (1–1.5 hours). At the crater rim, take in the mesmerizing view of the turquoise sulfuric lake and witness the sulfur miners in action. After sunrise, enjoy a brief stop at Malabar Coffee for a drink and snack.

Return to Bondowoso and Journey to Jember

After the coffee break, head back to your hotel in Bondowoso for a shower and lunch before checking out. Continue the journey to your homestay in Jember City for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, start the day by visiting Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Known for its impressive series of waterfalls arranged in a half-circle, this natural wonder will leave you in awe. Be sure to wear proper trekking shoes as you'll need to cross a river and navigate rocky paths to reach the waterfall.

Journey to Bromo

After enjoying the waterfall, relax and have lunch. Continue your journey to the Bromo area, which will take approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in Cemoro Lawang for the night, ready for the Bromo adventure the following day.

Bromo Stargazing and Sunrise - Transfer to Surabaya

Bromo Stargazing and Sunrise

At 2:00 AM, prepare for a stargazing session and the Milky Way view. Afterward, enjoy the breathtaking sunrise over the Bromo landscape, with views of Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and Gunung Semeru. Following the sunrise, embark on a 4WD ride across the Sand Sea to Poten, a Hindu temple. You can either hike 3 km or take a pony ride to the base of Mount Bromo to view the crater up close.

Whispering Sands and Journey to Surabaya

After the Bromo exploration, visit the Whispering Sands for more stunning scenery. Return to your hotel for breakfast, a shower, and check-out. Then, take the 3-hour drive to Surabaya, with a stop for lunch (at your own expense). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in Surabaya and enjoy some free time to explore the city or visit G-Walk for shopping, food, and entertainment.
