This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

The adventure begins with a pickup from Surabaya Airport (preferably before 12 PM). From there, enjoy a scenic 5-hour drive to Bondowoso, including a stop at a local restaurant in Probolinggo for lunch (at your own expense). Upon arrival in Bondowoso, check into your hotel, where you'll be welcomed with a delicious dinner. Afterward, take some time to relax and rest for the next day's adventures.

The Blue Fire of Ijen – From Sunrise at Ijen Crater to Papuma Beach Sunset

At midnight (00:00 AM), depart for Ijen Crater with a 1.5-hour drive to the parking area (Paltuding). From there, embark on a 1-1.5 hour trek to the Ijen Crater Rim, where you’ll witness the stunning turquoise sulfuric lake and the famous blue fire. You’ll also see the sulfur miners carrying 70kg loads across the treacherous terrain. After sunrise, enjoy a stop at Malabar Coffee for a coffee break before returning to the hotel for a shower, check-out, and lunch.

Journey to Jember & Papuma Beach Sunset

Afterward, continue your journey to Jember City and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, drive to Papuma Beach (approximately 1 hour). Marvel at the stunning sunset views over the sea before heading back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Continue to the House of Sampoerna, a Dutch colonial-style museum showcasing the iconic Indonesian clove cigarette brand and its hand-rolling process.

Cultural and Modern Surabaya

Next, visit the Cheng Ho Mosque, blending Chinese and Islamic architectural styles, followed by a stop at Tunjungan Plaza, a major shopping hub. Then, experience the majestic Suramadu Bridge, the longest in Indonesia, which connects Java and Madura.
