The fitness level required is Beginner.

This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

Begin your adventure by being picked up at Surabaya Airport (preferably before 12 PM). Then, embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to Bondowoso, including a stop at a local restaurant in Probolinggo for lunch (at your own expense). After arrival in Bondowoso, check-in at Grand Padis hotel for a relaxing evening. We’ll end the day with a delicious welcome dinner to set the tone for the journey ahead.

Your day begins at midnight with a drive to Ijen Crater’s parking area, followed by a 1-1.5 hour trek to the crater’s rim. Marvel at the surreal turquoise sulfuric lake and the blue fire, a phenomenon that occurs in the early hours of the morning. Watch as miners battle the harsh conditions to harvest sulfur—a striking display of human resilience amidst natural beauty.

Coffee Break and Scenic Journey to Bromo

After enjoying the sunrise at Ijen, relax with a refreshing stop at Malabar Coffee Plantation for a break before returning to the hotel for a shower and lunch. Then, drive 3.5 hours to Bromo, where you will check-in at Joglo Kecombrang Bromo for an overnight stay.

Rise early for a magical 2 AM departure to witness the night sky and Milky Way from the Bromo caldera. Afterward, enjoy the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Bromo, with views of the iconic Mount Batok and the towering Gunung Semeru in the distance. A ride across the vast Laotan Pasir (Sand Sea) brings you to Poten, a temple at the base of Bromo, where you can take a 3km hike or a pony ride to reach the crater rim.

Madakaripura Waterfall and the Journey to Malang

After experiencing the wonders of Bromo, we take an exciting 1-hour drive to Madakaripura Waterfall. A short trek leads you to this stunning waterfall, a hidden oasis surrounded by towering cliffs. Afterward, we’ll head to Malang City for the night, where you’ll check-in and relax at Whiz Prime Malang.

Enjoy the stunning scenery before heading back to Malang City.

Transfer to Juanda International Airport

After your city tour, you’ll be transferred to Juanda International Airport for your flight back home. (Please ensure your flight departs after 7 PM.)
