This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

DAY 1

Bali to Banyuwangi - Arrival and Journey Begins

Arrival in Bali and Transfer to Banyuwangi

Your romantic escape begins with a pickup from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali (ideally before 10 AM local time) or from your hotel in Bali. Afterward, enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive to Gilimanuk Port for the ferry crossing to Java (Ketapang Port). The ferry ride takes around an hour, and on clear days, you can admire views of Mount Agung in Bali and Mount Raung in Java. Upon arrival at Ketapang Port, proceed with a transfer to your hotel in Banyuwangi for check-in and rest.

Ijen Crater & Journey to Bromo

Ijen Crater: A Sunrise Adventure

The day begins early at 12:00 AM with a drive to Paltuding, the trailhead for Ijen Crater, which takes about 90 minutes. From there, trek to the crater rim (approx. 1-1.5 hours). Once at the rim, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the massive sulfuric crater lake, which is 200 meters deep and colored a stunning turquoise. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to observe the hard-working sulfur miners who carry 70kg sacks of sulfur through the toxic fumes and rugged terrain. After soaking in the sunrise view, head back to the trailhead for your return journey.

Journey to Bromo

After your Ijen adventure, head back to your hotel for a shower, checkout, and lunch before embarking on a 3.5-hour drive to the Bromo area. Check-in and relax at your hotel in Bromo.

From the Majestic Bromo Sunrise to the Hidden Madakaripura Waterfall

Bromo: A sunrise like no other

Our adventure begins at 2:00 AM, as we head out to witness the dazzling Milky Way and the unforgettable sunrise over Mount Bromo. The caldera’s flat sea of volcanic sand gives way to the striking silhouettes of Mount Batok, the smoking Mount Bromo, and in the distance, the majestic Mount Semeru—the tallest and most active volcano in Java.

After soaking in the sunrise, we’ll ride across the iconic Sand Sea in a 4WD to Poten, a serene Tenggerese Hindu temple at the base of Mount Bromo. From here, you can either trek 3 km or opt for a pony ride to reach the foot of Mount Bromo. A short climb up 253 steps will bring you to the crater rim, where you’ll stand in awe of the volcano’s raw power and beauty.

Madakaripura Waterfall and the journey back

Next, we drive an hour to the stunning Madakaripura Waterfall. A short 30-minute trek, guided by a local expert, leads us to this enchanting natural wonder hidden amidst towering cliffs. Don’t forget your slippers—you’ll be wading through shallow streams!

After the waterfall, we’ll begin the scenic 4-hour journey back to your hotel or the airport in Surabaya, marking the end of our unforgettable program.
