Before the tour begins, please ensure you have confirmed your booking and provided us with your exact pickup details and Valid ID/Passport and travel insurance. We also recommend being well-rested, as the tour involves early morning treks to catch the sunrise.

What should I bring during the tour?

We highly recommend bringing warm clothing (a thick jacket, beanie, gloves) for the cold temperatures at Bromo and Ijen. Also, pack comfortable trekking shoes, a small backpack, a personal camera, sunscreen, and sandals or waterproof shoes for the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.

What is the difficulty level of the Ijen crater hike?

The Ijen crater hike is of moderate difficulty. It involves a 3-kilometer trek uphill on a well-defined path, which typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Some sections can be steep, but it is manageable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.

What is the difficulty level of the Mount Bromo hike?

The Mount Bromo trek is considered easy. A 4WD Jeep will take you to the main viewpoint and then to the 'Sea of Sand' parking area. From there, it's a relatively flat walk followed by a climb up a staircase of about 250 steps to the crater rim.

Your romantic escape begins with a pickup from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali (ideally before 10 AM local time) or from your hotel in Bali. Afterward, enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive to Gilimanuk Port for the ferry crossing to Java (Ketapang Port). The ferry ride takes around an hour, and on clear days, you can admire views of Mount Agung in Bali and Mount Raung in Java. Upon arrival at Ketapang Port, proceed with a transfer to your hotel in Banyuwangi for check-in and rest.

The day begins early at 12:00 AM with a drive to Paltuding, the trailhead for Ijen Crater, which takes about 90 minutes. From there, trek to the crater rim (approx. 1-1.5 hours). Once at the rim, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the massive sulfuric crater lake, which is 200 meters deep and colored a stunning turquoise. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to observe the hard-working sulfur miners who carry 70kg sacks of sulfur through the toxic fumes and rugged terrain. After soaking in the sunrise view, head back to the trailhead for your return journey. After your Ijen adventure, head back to your hotel for a shower, checkout, and lunch before embarking on a 3.5-hour drive to the Bromo area. Check-in and relax at your hotel in Bromo.
