This activity is not stroller-friendly or wheelchair-accessible. Child seats are also not provided.

The fitness level required is Beginner.

This activity is not recommended for individuals with high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma, or other serious medical conditions. Pregnant women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are also advised against participating.

Change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, caps or hats, cash, towel, flashlight or headlamp, windbreaker jacket, hiking shoes, slippers, and a valid ID are recommended. Additionally, it's advisable to carry a raincoat or poncho, and a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Pre-flight Preparations

Before flying, ensure you have your passport with minimum 6 months validity, return tickets, travel insurance, and other travel essentials.

For travel between cities and towns, we use Toyota Avanza for 1-3 passengers and Toyota Hiace for 4 or more passengers, providing ample space for luggage.

ITINERARY - EAST JAVA ADVENTURE: BALI TO IJEN, BROMO, PAPUMA BEACH & TUMPAK SEWU

DAY 1

Bali to Banyuwangi - Arrival and Transfer

Arrival in Bali and Transfer to Banyuwangi

Your adventure begins with a pickup at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali (DPS) (ideally before 10 AM), or from your hotel in Bali. You will be transferred on a scenic 4-hour drive to Gilimanuk Port, where you'll take a ferry crossing to Ketapang Port in Java (approximately 1 hour). If the weather is clear, enjoy views of Mount Agung in Bali and Mount Raung in Java during the ferry ride. After arriving at Ketapang Port, you’ll continue your journey to your hotel in Banyuwangi for check-in and relaxation.

Ijen Blue Crater - Jember - Papuma Beach Sunset

Ijen Crater Adventure

At 12:00 AM, check out from your hotel and drive to Paltuding, the base area of Ijen Crater (about 1.5 hours). Begin your trek to the crater rim (approximately 1–1.5 hours). At the rim, you’ll witness the stunning turquoise sulfuric crater lake and the impressive crater. You’ll also see the hardworking sulfur miners carry heavy loads of sulfur through the hazardous terrain.

Malabar Coffee and Lunch in Bondowoso

After the Ijen Crater adventure, we will stop for coffee and snacks at Malabar Coffee before continuing our journey to a local restaurant in Bondowoso City for lunch.

Papuma Beach Sunset

In the afternoon, continue the journey to Jember City and check in to your hotel. At 3:00 PM, head to Papuma Beach (approximately 1 hour) to enjoy stunning sunset views over the sea. Afterward, return to your hotel and relax for the evening.

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall to Bromo

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Adventure

At 4:00 AM, check out from your hotel and drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, known for its magnificent curtain-like water flow. The waterfall is surrounded by smaller cascades, creating a breathtaking sight. To reach the waterfall, follow the river up the canyon, and be prepared to cross the river (wear proper trekking sandals or shoes). Enjoy the waterfall and its natural water spa.

Journey to Bromo

After the waterfall adventure and a lunch break, continue your journey to the Bromo area (approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax overnight in preparation for the Bromo sunrise tour tomorrow.

Mount Bromo Stargazing and Sunrise - Transfer to Surabaya

Mount Bromo Stargazing & Sunrise

At 2:00 AM, prepare for the Mount Bromo Stargazing and Milky Way view. After experiencing the stunning night sky, continue to enjoy the sunrise over the Bromo landscape. See the majestic Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and the mighty Gunung Semeru, the highest volcano in Java.

Mount Bromo Exploration

After the sunrise, take a thrilling 4WD or motorcycle ride over the Sand Sea to Poten, a Hindu temple beside Mount Bromo. From Poten, you can either hike 3 km or take a pony ride to the base of Mount Bromo. Climb the 253 steps to the crater rim for an up-close view of the volcano.

Return to Surabaya

After exploring Mount Bromo, return to your hotel for breakfast and checkout. Then, embark on your journey back to Surabaya (approximately 4 hours). You can be dropped off at Surabaya Airport, Train Station, or your hotel in Surabaya. We recommend booking a flight after 7:00 PM to allow for the travel time.
